Donor Registration Fair
February Is Donor Awareness Month
The City of Palm Coast joins thousands of institutions and individuals across the nation in recognition of National Donor Day on February 14th at City Hall, 160 Lake Avenue. This observance is dedicated to spreading awareness and education about blood, organ, and tissue donation and honoring the lives of those who have given or received the gift of life.
The Donor Fair will feature partners from Donate Life Florida, Mayo Clinic and One Blood. Our partners will be available to answer any questions you may have about the life saving benefits of blood, organ and tissue donation. Raffle tickets for prize giveaways will be handed out to each person who signs up to be a donor or can show proof of existing registration.
Last year, more than 39,000 Americans received a lifesaving organ transplant. Thousands have also received gifts that eased pain, enabled healing, brought mobility, and restored vision because of tissue and cornea transplantation. Many of those lives were saved because of Central Florida organ donor heroes, their loving families and caring clinical staff stewarding the precious Gift of Life.
Hope in the form of more birthdays, graduations, wedding days, and holidays with families, priceless memories– big and small – all made possible because of an organ donor hero.
Every day throughout the state of Florida and across the nation, quiet heroes register to be organ, eye and tissue donors with the thought that one day they too may help others.
What if our last act could be one of love, kindness and generosity?

Did you know that nearly 120,000 children and adults await a life-saving organ transplant in the United States? Did you know that more than 5,700 of those that are waiting are right here in Florida? This is why we have partnered with Donate Life Florida to observe National Donor Day on February 14th. Donate Life Florida educates and encourages the community about organ, eye and tissue donation.
Blood is essential to life and has no substitute. There are four components of blood that course through the human body: red blood cells, platelets, plasma and white blood cells. These components cannot be manufactured in a lab, blood donor heroes are the only hope for patients in need of a lifesaving blood transfusion. Every two seconds someone is in need of blood. This is why we are proud to partner with One Blood in efforts to save lives through the generosity of blood donation.
